Wadjaro publishes practical travel preparation guides, checklists and planning tools. This page explains who writes them, how we check them, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Who writes Wadjaro
Wadjaro is an independent, self-funded site run by a small editorial team rather than a large publisher. Guides are published under Wadjaro Editorial, which is the team account we use for collectively researched and maintained content. We are not a government body, an airline, an insurer or a travel agency, and we are not affiliated with any of them.
How we research a guide
- Anything that can change — entry rules, visa requirements, baggage allowances, vaccination requirements, security rules — is written against the primary official source: the relevant government department, embassy, airline or airport.
- We link to those sources directly so you can confirm them yourself, because official requirements change without notice and they change per nationality.
- Practical advice that is not rule-based — how to pack, how to budget, how to plan — is written from hands-on travel experience and stated as advice, not as fact.
- We do not publish content produced in bulk without review.
What we will not tell you
We will not tell you whether you need a visa, whether you are medically fit to travel, or which insurance policy is right for you. Those answers depend on your nationality, your route, your health and your circumstances, and getting them wrong has real consequences. On those subjects we explain how the process works and point you to the authority that can give you a binding answer.
Nothing on Wadjaro is legal, medical, immigration or financial advice.
Updates and dating
Every guide shows a Last updated date, taken automatically from the last time the page was edited. We show the real edit date rather than a “verified” badge, because a verification claim should mean a human re-checked every fact on the page against its source — and we would rather show you an honest date than an impressive one.
Always treat time-sensitive information as a starting point and confirm it against the official source before you travel.
How our tools work
Our packing list generator and budget calculator run entirely in your browser. They do not send your trip details to us or to anyone else, and they do not require an account. The packing generator uses broad seasonal climate patterns for each destination, not live weather data, so treat its suggestions as a sensible starting list rather than a forecast.
Money and independence
Some links on Wadjaro are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we recommend or what we say about it, and we mark affiliate sections clearly. We do not accept payment for a positive review, and we do not let a commercial partner approve or edit our content.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, out of date or unclear, please tell us and we will fix it. Corrections to factual errors are made as soon as we can confirm the correct information, and the page’s updated date will reflect the change. Contact us through the contact page.
